As a teenager, Leida Mothma is already nursing a rebellious streak. The daughter of Senator Mon Mothma and her husband Perrin Fertha, Leida spends much of her time on Coruscant, but resents her mother's focus on her political career. Instead, Leida prefers Chandrilan customs, a surprise to her mother who regards many of the traditions as outdated in modern times. With her marriage to Stekan Sculdun quickly approaching, Leida is equal parts joyful and nervous to become an adult. Attended by her peermaids, she eagerly prepares for her three-day-long wedding, with all the glamour that the traditional ceremony demands.
